Rude Awakening

Here is what Madison, Noelle, and I woke up to the sound of this morning!!

Camping in Old Forge

Here are some of those pics. Sitting around a wet fire

CAMPING, what joy!!!

Some Pics from the Adirondack Museum

Hey again all,
Here are some of the pics i promised of us camping in Old Forge. We went from Wednesday of last week till Friday. It rained while we set up camp, all that night, all day Thursday until about 5pm, and then cleared up finally during the night into Friday. Since it rained all day Thursday we went to the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake. What a fun time. When you all come visit us, we will take you there.
We also went to the Enchanted Forest Water Park. The girls loved all but one ride. Madison even rode on a couple rides we did not excpect her to go on by herself.

busy busy busy

Hey all,
Sorry it has been so long since we have posted anything new. Both kim and I have been busy with work and other stuff around the house and church and all that good stuff.
Since the last post, it seems like Kim and I have worked opposite days every week. The days I am not working, she has been and vice versa. God does provide when we need it. On July 20, the Ford Ironman Race was run in Lake Placid. This is a race that takes over the whole town and region. First the competitors swim 2.4 miles in Mirror Lake with a water temp of about 70 degrees. Then they get out and bike 112 miles around the Lake Placid area mountains. After they finish that, they then run a full marathon, 26.2 miles or whatever it is. Kim worked the ambulance all day that day, then I rode the EMS bikes in the evening. It ended at midnight, starting at 7am. The last competitor did not finish in time, but was only about 2 miles short of finishing. Very close, but no cigar for her. It rained ALLLLLLLL day long. from the time it started until the end it was raining. Lots of hypothermic competitors.
The next day, we lost our hot water.. on purpose though. We are having the hot water boiler/furnace replaced as the old one was 60+ years old. We ended up without hot water for an entire week. Luckily, we planned to go camping for part of the week. I will post pis from that in another posting. Then this morning at 6:40am, after Kim had gone to work, I was rudely awakened by a loud CRASHHHH!!! A tree fel down in our yard and caught the powerlines feeding the house and the telephone lines. Luckily last night when Kim and I came back from getting ice cream I did not park the Jeep where it normally goes, otherwise we would be getting a new car this week. That would not be the way to get a new car though. I will post those pics in another post as well.

NATE PASSED HIS RN BOARDS- YIPPY KY YAY

Yes it is true... I, Nate, am now officially an RN. It only took me three hours of complete frustration to finish the test, but I did it. I had to answer the absloute last question allowable to do it (265 questions), but it is finished now I can concentrate more on family again.
Thank you all for your prayers and support and prayers. Oh did I say thank you for your prayers. Ok good I did. That is the only thing that allowed me to pass.
